Skin cancer prevention

Use the possibility of skin cancer screening and make an appointment for a skin cancer screening.

Skin cancer can be diagnosed very early because it is visible from the outside. And the earlier skin cancer is recognized and treated, the greater the chances of a cure.

We offer skin cancer prevention at the highest medical level in our dermatological practice in Berlin.

We take a lot of time for skin cancer prevention in my practice on Kurfürstendamm.

We look at your skin from head to toe and first document the whole body photographically.

All noticeable skin changes are then marked on the overview recordings and then documented 15 times enlarged.

The computer-assisted photo documentation system Visiomed used for this offers the possibility to make even the smallest skin changes visible and to be able to assess them.

In the case of unclear pigmented changes, we need additional information, which we receive through the examination with the help of Nevisense (immediate analysis for early melanoma detection).

This device enables quick and painless detection of melanoma (malignant skin changes, so-called black skin cancer).

In this way, benign and malignant skin changes, skin cancer and its preliminary stages can be assessed and outpatient surgery performed as soon as possible and / or treated with the help of light and laser therapy. Skin cancer is a very insidious disease because it does not cause pain. The main causes are genetic predispositions and the UV light from the sun.

Appointment time: approx. 1 hour at the first presentation, control examinations approx. 15 to 30 minutes.

More information about

Black skin cancer (malignant melanoma)

– early detection and precautionary measures

In Germany, approximately 200,000 people develop new skin cancer each year: approx. 24,000 people suffer from black skin cancer (malignant melanoma) and approx. 171,000 people from light skin cancer.

Don’t be one of them!

Take regular skin cancer screening and screening and protect yourself from a malicious cancer that does not cause pain in the early stages.

The early detection should take place every 1-2 years so that skin changes can be recognized and treated in good time.

One of the most important preventive measures is to avoid sunburn through consistent skin protection (shade, textile light protection, hats / caps, sunscreen).

If existing stains change and / or new spots appear, please make a short inspection appointment.

White skin cancer screening is vital

White skin cancer, also known as light skin cancer, exists in different forms (actinic keratoses, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, Bowen’s disease).

Actinic keratosis is the most common form of skin cancer worldwide.

Around 6 million people live with this type of skin cancer in Germany alone; in Europe every second patient over 60 years of age suffers from actinic keratoses.

In approximately 10% of patients with actinic keratoses, squamous cell carcinoma develops in the further course, which can develop daughter ulcers, so-called metastases.

Also for white skin cancer, the earlier the cancer is recognized, the better the chances of a cure.

Light skin cancer can be treated with creams, cryotherapy, surgical removal, laser treatment and / or photodynamic therapy.

Let us advise you on skin cancer prevention in our dermatological practice and take advantage of the prevention options that make it possible to recognize and treat white and black skin cancer at an early stage.

We would be happy to provide you with detailed information about the shady side of the sun and suitable sun protection.
